                Jennifer Robie-Shoemaker has been dancing for over 30 years and started teaching dance in 1987.     She holds a BA in Theatre/English, Secondary Education, from SUNY Geneseo and has earned her Masters    Degree in Dance  Education K-12 from SUNY Brockport.  She is a NYS Certified Teacher. 
               Jennifer continues her dance studies by attending numerous seminars and conventions each year.   
   She travels to NYC each year to participate in the
PULSE and Broadway Dance Center's teacher 
   convention.  She has studied dance with various Master Artists including Emmy Award winning  
   choreographers from
So You Think You Can Dance, Mia Michaels and Wade Robson.  Other well-known     choreographers and artists include: Tyce Diorio, Tim Draper, Garth Fagan, Brian Friedman, Laurieann
   Gibson, Frank Hatchett, Chris Judd, Ted Levy, Alan Onikel, Dave Scott, Jeff Shades, and the Christopher
   National Dance Teacher Seminars.   She has done and continues to do extensive research and work toward
   establishing a certification  program for dance teachers and incorporates the “National Standards for Dance      Education” into the studio classroom.
               For many years, Jennifer has joined with other artists in Rochester and local communities for 
   musicals and other productions as Choreographer and/or Director, some include: High School Musical, 
   Aladdin, Jesus Christ Superstar, Annie and Grease.  She was also involved in a collaboration with SUNY
   Brockport, RIT, and The Eastman School of Music for “ImageMovement Sound”. 
               It is apparent that Jennifer has a strong belief in the importance of the performing Arts for all ages 
   by her constant involvement in Education and Dance.  Her background in education inspired her to create a     program where each student receives individual attention, where their confidence and esteem are nurtured, 
   and their technique and ability in dance are developed.  She takes great pride in sharing her love and 
   knowledge of dance with her students and encourages them to become the best they can be.

Cindy McKinney has over twenty years dance experience,     has been teaching dance for over fifteen years, and is certified 
   by New York State to teach dance.  She has studied dance at
   many Rochester area dance studios, SUNY Brockport, the 
   University at Buffalo, and SUNY Geneseo.  Cindy has also
   taken many master dance classes, participated in countless
   dance competitions, and attended numerous dance conventions
   in New York City and Orlando, Florida.
         Cindy considers it a privilege to pass on her love and
   knowledge of dance to others.  She has high expectations for
   her students and wants all of them to be the best they can be.  
   Cindy believes that dance is a combination of hard work and         fun.  It will be an honor for Cindy to share the benefits and 
   rewards of dance with her students at Dance Emporium.
